This is the time of year when our dogs and puppies shed their winter coat and you’ll find their fur everywhere. Having 2 dogs (both are long hair), I was getting tired of constantly sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning up pet hair. 1. Shampoo specifically created for dogs and puppies – don’t use your shampoo

2. Coat conditioner for your dog’s coat type to help with tangles

3. Petroleum jelly to protect your dog’s eyes and ears- if you are spot bathing you won’t need this

4. Nail coagulant or styptic pencil if you are cutting your dog’s nails

5. Medicated ear powder or other ear cleaning liquid such as rubbing alcohol or a product designed for this purpose to keep ears clean and infection free – especially useful on long eared dogs.

6. Eye drops for moistening and cleaning eyes – again only use products specifically created for dogs and puppies

7. Cotton balls
